Win7DSFilterTweaker is a useful little tool that allows you to configure your preferred DirectShow filters for decoding for example H.264, MPEG-4 and VC-1 video in Windows 7. This makes it possible to use third party decoders instead of the native decoders that come with Windows 7.

Win7DSFilterTweaker has been created to provide you with an easy to use interface for tweaking which decoders are used in Windows 7.

Preferred DirectShow decoders:
This allows you to configure your preferred decoders for several audio and video formats.

Media Foundation:
These settings allow you to disable the use of Media Foundation for specific file formats. If you want to completely disable Media Foundation, then you should use the relevant option on the tweaks page instead.
