primesieve is a free software program that uses a highly optimized implementation of the sieve of Eratosthenes to generate prime numbers and prime k-tuplets (twin primes, prime triplets, ...) up to 2^64 maximum.

By default primesieve counts prime numbers to print the primes choose Print->Prime numbers from the menu. The best performance is achieved by choosing a sieve size that matches your CPU's L1 cache size (usually 32 or 64 KB) when sieving < 10^14 and a sieve size of your CPU's L2 cache size above.
