Study the concept of uniform circular motion. Uniform Circular Motion enable you to study the uniform circular motion, which is defined as circular motion at constant speed. Although the speed is constant, the velocity is not - the magnitude of the velocity is constant, but the direction of the objects velocity steadily changes as the object moves around the circular path.
Because the velocity is changing, there is an acceleration. The acceleration is known as the centripetal acceleration - the direction of the acceleration is always toward the center of the circle. You should be able to use the simulation to check that the magnitude of the centripetal acceleration is given by: ac = v2 / r, where v is the speed and r is the radius of the circular path.
