LuxCal is a free user-friendly and lightweight web based event calendar. Its primary goals are to be more user-friendly, smaller and easier to maintain as compared to other web-based event calendars. LuxCal may have fewer features than some other web calendars, but has all essential functions you may expect from a lightweight event calendar, implemented to be as user-friendly as possible. LuxCal has been designed for home use and small businesses.

Supported calendar views: Year, month, week, day and upcoming events - all views show essential information only with full event details on mouseover. Other features: week starts on Sunday or Monday, flexible date format, 12-hour am/pm and 24-hour time format, password protection, colored event categories, recurring events (daily, weekly, monthly and yearly), email notifications of event due dates, private events, access rights configurable per user, US or general user interface, CSV file import (for instance Outlook export), multi-language support and customizable user interface colors. LuxCal runs on a server with PHP and MySQL and produces XHTML.
