Videologger for Digital and Analog Media. When TEP HD is launched, the monitor controller will automatically open on the left of the screen.
Video preview and incoming timecode are displayed and it is a permanent part of the application interface. Control buttons, timecode marking and frame grab functions are on the controller. Use the mouse or keyboard commands for these functions. Available functions depend on the video source (analog deck, DV or digital file). If the source is FireWire, "DV" will appear at the upper right corner of the controller.
The Toolbar across the top of the screen, just below the menus, provides shortcut buttons to frequently used commands. When the mouse "hovers" over a button its function and keyboard shortcut(s) are displayed at the bottom of the screen. The button's function is also displayed in a tip box, a highlighted box immediately beneath the button. Each of these functions, as well as other menu commands, have shortcut keys. You can program your own combination of keys in the Keyboard area under SETUP/CUSTOMIZE. The toolbar can be toggled off under the VIEW menu.
When a log is opened or created, there are three normal view modes: "Entry View", "List View" and "All View" (a combination of Entry and List views). You can easily switch between these views using the toolbar buttons.
The Entry view displays only the currently selected Entry (clip) within the log file while the List view shows several Entries (clips) at a time in a spreadsheet style of columns and rows. Depending on the number and layout of your template fields you may need to stretch the log file window to see all the fields in Entry or All views.
In All View, the active area is bordered in green. Up and down arrows move between Entries (rows) in the List view. Up and down arrows move within a text field in the Entry view.
When logging, information is typed directly into the file. The information is immediately added to the log as you type and appears in all view types simultaneously. In other words, it is not necessary to signal "Accept" or "Add to Log" for the application to use the data.
