EssentialPIM is a visual appointment and information manager that allows you to organize your daily, weekly or monthly schedule. It includes an address book to manage your contacts, as well as tree-style notes manager with support for rich text notes. The address book supports pictures and lets you add/remove fields to customize it for your needs. The schedule provides a very convenient way to mark your appointments in different colors, and allows you to simply drag an appointment to reschedule it. EssentialPIM supports single and recurring events, priority settings, color coded categories, completion indicator and reminder alerts. In addition it can export to HTML, RTF and other formats, and supports password protection with strong encryption. A very nice and easy to use PIM, we quite surprised to find that is is free.

MediaMan is a media manager for all your digital and print media, including books, video games, DVDs, software or music CDs and VHS tapes. You can enter your items by typing or scanning their barcode, or search for them by keyword on international Amazon sites or the Library of Congress. The program automatically imports cover images, descriptions and other details, including user reviews (if available). If you do not have a barcode scanner, MediaMan offers an option to use your webcam to scan the barcode, however, as much as we liked the idea, we could not get it to work. Another outstanding feature is the virtual bookcase view that displays nicely rendered images that resemble your books and CDs, using their original cover art, which provides a stylish way to browse your collection. Other features include rental management, export to various formats, personal tags and ratings, file attachments, custom information fields and more. You can also use the program to launch music or other media directly from the library, as long as the media is located on your PC. Overall, an easy-to-use media organizer with high levels of customization and an attractive virtual shelf display.

VIP Organizer

VIP Organizer is a simple task manager that allows you to create tasks and track their process. You can also set visual or audible reminders for each item and organize the tasks into custom categories. Additional features include priority assignment, percentage completed and task notes. Unlike the name may indicate, this is not an organizer, but limited to basic task management.

EfficientPIM

EfficientPIM is a personal information manager that keeps track of your appointments, contacts, notes, password and diary entries. It offers most of the standard PIM features such as recurring events, import of holidays, export to HTML, task management and reminders. The included diary offers a word processor interface with support for rich text and images. Other features include a built-in password manager and desktop sticky notes.

HotPad Mini-Organizer

HotPad is an easy to use, skinnable mini organizer that efficiently keeps track of not only day to day tasks, but anything that you want to do in the future. The Doc Organizer program systematizes your files and folders by categories, regardless of their type. These there can be documents in the formats of MS Word, MS Excel, HTML, PDF, and so on. These there can be music, video, games, as well. There is no limitation on the type of files!You can place documents (and more precisely, links to them) in different categories and subcategories which you create yourself. A document may be placed in a few categories, but there are no doubles on your hard disk!Therefore afterwards it will be possible quickly to find and to open necessary document. Also you can add hyperlinks (URLs) to the program without saving web-page to your hard disk. Now you can add files (folders) from network disks or from removable drives (for example, USB flash-drive) as well. The program has basic functions of file manager.
