Manage the writing of your novel with yWriter. The software allows you to organize your novel as a project. You can add files to the project, add summaries to each file, print out summary card and display the word count for every file in the project. It also saves a log file every day showing words per file and the total, saves automatic backups at user-specified intervals, allows multiple scenes within chapters. The software features a storyboard view, re-ordering of scenes within chapters, moving scenes from one chapter to another and automatic chapter renumbering.

Second, and still rather important, it's a word processor which breaks your novel into chapters and scenes. It will not write your novel for you, suggest plot ideas or perform creative tasks of any kind. It does help you keep track of your work, leaving your mind free to create.

This program is designed for Windows XP, Vista and beyond. Windows 98 and ME users should be able to use it, but those operating systems are unsupported.
