Command-Line Checksumming Utilities. hashutils are simple command-line checksumming/hashing utilities for Windows, similar to the ones found on most Unix-like systems. The md5sum and sha1sum utilities found in this package will produce output similar to and compatible with that of their Unix counterparts. md4sum and ed2ksum will produce output similar to that of md5sum, and crc32sum will produce output that is compatible with the SFV file format.

The -c switch is not supported; to verify checksum files, use HashCheck. All of these utilities support recursive directory traversals with the -r switch; please consult the enclosed documentation for more details on usage.

includes: crc32sum, ed2ksum, md4sum, md5sum and sha1sum, support 32bits and 64bits OS.

The output format of md4/md5/sha1sum conforms to the "standard" output format used by the GNU coreutils (lowercase hash, space, binary flag, file name).
The output format of crc32sum conforms to the SFV format.
Wildcards may be used; for example, "md4sum *.exe *.dll" will output the MD4 hashes of every file with the .exe or .dll extension in the current directory.

The -c command line option is not implemented; I may add it in a future release, but it is not a priority since I personally never use it.

The -r command line switch may be used to walk the directory tree; for example, to get the SHA-1 hashes of every file with a .txt extension in the current directory and subdirectories, run "sha1sum -r *.txt", and to get the MD5 hashes of the entire Windows directory tree, run "md5sum -r C:\Windows\*".
