Weather Plus! can be run in Two different modes, Standalone(No Tray Icon) and the Default (With Tray Icon). With the Icon, the application is hidden when minimized and reports the Temperature and Current conditions via Notification messages and the Tray Icon itself. You can set the application to start minimized(hidden) via setup. (See Options / Notifications and Alerts) Right clicking the Tray/Notification Icon (if enabled) will provide a pop-up menu to control the application when it's minimized.

Please note that the Weather services do not update their information on a moment to moment basis. Most usually, it is hourly, or bi-hourly, Alerts are slightly different and are checked every 2-5 minutes.
