Windows XP users have something really great to cheer about: Windows Vista Transformation Pack 8 has been released and is completely free! Yes, you can turn your boring Windows XP interface into an exact replica of Windows Vista using this transformation pack. The pack has fixed many bug and issues with the GUI interface that were in the previous version.

Vista Transformation Pack is a program that transforms the appearance of Windows XP to Windows Vista. The application will transform your entire user interface, including the themes of Vista operating system startup, welcome screen, visual style, icons, wallpapers and more.

Vista Transformation Pack changes some system files and system registry entries that could cause problems. Vista Transformation Pack 4.0 was just released and it does a great job of giving your XP machine the Vista look. In December last year Windows Blinds released a new version of their software that was designed to provide Windows XP with transparent effects, however, it wasn't free. That is where the Vista Transformation Pack comes into play. It is free and does a great job of giving my machine a look similar to Vista. It doesn't have the powerful transparency effects for every window (as seen on the window to the right in the screenshot above) but does have enough transparency to make me happy. The greatest thing is that it is free!
