ViGlance is a nice utility that was designed in order to bring you the beautiful effects and the enhanced functionality of Windows 7 taskbar.

ViGlance (The Summer Edition) is almost here . So I thought I would post a teaser video demonstrating some of the latest features of the summer edition. Before releasing it though I want to try to fix a few more minor glitches. I am trying my best to implement semi-automatic "live thumbnails" for XP users as well as Vista and Seven users (Originally I didn't intend to extend "live thumbnail" support to XP). Which can be seen in the video demonstration. 7TP mark 2 is almost ready for ViGlance. Though if you read my last post, you will know Lucifiar is probably swapping hosts right now. No doubt this will delay the initial release of ViGlance. (ViGlance is infact ready for release now)

Dynamic Window Thumbnails
We tend to respond better to pictures than writing. ViGlance (the summer edition) adds a new window thumbnail feature that delivers "up to date" window previews. The "up to date" system tries to deliver the most recent snapshot of the window whilst using minimal processing power.
Pin your favourite applications
Attach software shortcuts directly to the taskbar so that you can open the programs you use most often without browsing the Start menu. When the software is opened the item then refers to the software that has been opened.

7 Start Orb Replica
The start button in Windows XP isn't very pretty; it's too big and ugly and its horrible shade of green. ViGlance replaces that horrible oversized start button with a small and efficient start orb. Whilst at the same time delivering a smooth fade transitional rollover effect like that of Windows 7.

Customize Application Positions
Now you can re-arrange the ViGlance taskbar to suit your personal perference by dragging and dropping items to your prefered positions. Pinned item order will be remembered and used everytime you open ViGlance.
