It integrates with Google search results and the IE toolbar and shows a colored icon with pop-up information that provides you with a positive or negative site ranking. The Trustpilot ratings are based on a variety of reviews and media stories that are collected from the web and then analyzed. We found the accuracy of these ratings to be rather questionable as, for example, we were warned to avoid reputable shopping sources like Gamestop, Apple Store and Amazon.com and at the same time encouraged to purchase from YouTube (), while most other online stores did not have any ratings at all. Trustpilot may be worth a look, but unless the rating system improves we cannot recommend the current beta version as a reliable source for shopping site ratings.
