TopoR 4.3 is a CAD Software product from toporouter.com, get 5 Stars SoftSea Rating, Are you looking for high-perfomance routing solution for your design needs
Try TopoR - unique topological autorouter that routes your design with gridless free-angle technology. Topological algorithm allows to get far superior result if compare to any available shape-based or grid-based autorouter, in most cases superior to time-consuming qualified manual routing.
TopoR provides the following features:
* High-quality autorouting and improved electro-magnetic compatibility
Route the wiring topology automatically and flexibly (directions are not limited by 90 and 45 degree). TopoR routes with less number of vias/layers and length of traces if compare to other autorouters. Each wire has a minimal length and goes around pads with a proper clearance. Absence of preferred routing directions in layers considerably reduces wire parallelism, which in its turn reduces electromagnetic crosstalks.
* Easy to learn user interface
TopoR has intuitive user interface that allows you to learn it and make your first free-angle design in few hours. Before all operations TopoR shows tips that helps in your work. User manual and tutorials guides your through the routing process and allows to get started with ease.
* Simultaneous optimization of multiple layout versions
TopoR can perform parallel optimization of several alternative topology variants, which differ in optimized parameters, while the user is offered a choice of selecting one or several variants.
* Ability to assign minimal and preferred clearance for each net
A user can immediately define the technical possibility of routing the board within the limits of the specified number of layers, specified clearance and other technical limitations based on the routing density and the amount of technical constraints violations.
* TopoR can displace components on a routed board
One the unique features of TopoR is its ability to move components on the routed board while preserving the connections topology. Geometry and positioning of components are automatically calculated to comply with the new components position. Movement of components, vias and wire branching is used to decrease wires length, provide the utmost clearance space which should be not less than required (to eliminate the narrow spaces). Movement can be performed both manually and automatically, and the most impactful wires shape is defined immediately.
* Smart BGA component routing
Due to absence of preferred routing directions in layers and deep level of optimization TopoR provides quality routing of contemporary BGA components, which is traditionally a very difficult problem for other routers.
* Interface with CAD Systems
TopoR supports standard Specctra DSN/SES interface that most CAD systems have. Also TopoR can import/export P-CAD and PADS ASCII formats.
* Design Rule Check
TopoR checks minimum and optimal clearances between traces, pads and vias on each stage of the design work. You can move/rotate components and edit traces based on DRC results.
* Shape-based copper pour
Powerful copper pour system can help to reduce your manufacturing costs by minimizing the amount of etching solution required. To use it, all you have to do is insert a copper area on your board and any pad or trace inside the selected area will be automatically surrounded with a gap of the desired size.
* Manufacturing output formats
TopoR provides support for a number of different manufacturing output formats. You can produce DXF, N/C Drill files for numerically controlled (N.C.) drilling machines and RS-274X Gerber files for sending to board manufacturers.
Competitive Advantages:
TopoR allows to reduce design time up to several times
Instant routing of 100% of wires on a board
TopoR provides 100% routed layout almost instantly within a few seconds. All connections are routed even if technological constraints are violated. Autorouting is followed by the multiobjective optimization by calculating different variants of laying wires. During the optimization process the overall wire length is optimized as well as the number of vias and places with smaller clearance.
The routing process can be stopped at any moment, and the engineer can immediately define the technical possibility of routing the board within the limits of the specified number of layers, defined clearance size and other technical limitations based on the routing density and the amount of technical constraints violations. This helps to avoid waiting for many hours which is typical for the traditional autorouters. Engineers using the traditional systems can spend significant amount of their time trying to get the suitable results for different variants of routing strategy.
TopoR is capable of performing parallel computing, speeding up the result achievement by many times
TopoR can perform parallel optimization of several alternative topology variants, which differ in optimized parameters, while a user is offered a choice of selecting one or several variants. This feature allows for organizing the distributed routing - parallel topology optimization by using several processor cores and/or several computers within one local network. This allows to significantly reduce machine time especially for routing complex multi-layer boards.
The innovative topology router significantly increases engineers' productivity
TopoR support two types of manual topology routing of PCBs - graphical and topological. Topology router automatically calculates the optimal shape and wire positioning in terms of the defined topology. This allows engineers to concentrate on the topological aspects of design without paying attention to the wires shape and observing technological restrictions. Touching or even number or wires intersections is not considered a violation. It is sufficient to push a button and move to the topological mode to "string" the wires automatically and move them to the necessary distance.
TopoR ensures the exceptional autorouting quality
Isotropic routing with arcs ensures the most impactful usage of board surface
TopoR topological router is distinguished by having no preferred routing directions, which are divisible by 45 degrees. Any-angle routing ensures more efficient space usage. Additional advantage is provided by using routing with arcs and arc approximating lines. The whole board surface is used more efficiently when using arcs. In many cases it can ensure the maximum possible and at the same time equal conductor spacing. This can be critical for example for differential pairs.
TopoR supports two modes for the optimal routing of single-layer boards
TopoR CAD system is the leader in providing highly-optimized algorithms of single-layer PCB design. The results which are comparable to manual routing can be achieved due to usage of efficient algorithms for minimizing the quantity and length of jumpers. The most widely-spread CAD systems including the best ones cannot fulfill such tasks.
TopoR is the irreplaceable tool for flexible PCBs design
TopoR is capable of minimizing the number of vias which makes it the preferable autorouter for flexible PCBs design. Flexible PCBs consist of the sets of interconnect wires which can contain single-layer, two-layer or multi-layer structures. The boards can be as totally flexible so representing a combination of flexible and hard components. Typical requirements for wires in the flexible part of the PCB include:
- perpendicular alignment towards the bending direction;
- staggered positioning on the neighboring layers;
- no metalized vias are allowed; The license of this design software is Freeware, you can free download and free use this Design software.
