All mail sent by addresses listed in the blacklist are usually treated as spam because they get a big negative reputation before scanning. The "*" symbol stands for any text phrase in a mail address within the given mail domain. So in standard configuration all mail coming from any mail address of spam.com is treated as spam mail. If we want to add mail addresses manually to the blacklist, we can use for every entry a new line.

The Words Tab lists words and phrases, that have a higher-than-average possibility to occur in acceptable mail. Every line in the Words field can contain a word or a phrase, that may occur in incoming messages. By moving the slider control, we can set the likelihood that mail messages containing these words are spam. This way, we can create a customized whitelist for words mostly found in acceptable mail messages.

In the list boxes of "Allowed character sets", we can select character sets which are acceptable within our mail. If a mail is written in a not-selected character set then it will be scored as spam. If no or all character sets are selected, all character sets are allowed.
