SWIM (SecretWeapon Image Manager) is a simple GUI tool to create, restore, and edit WIM images. A totally functional UI for capturing, editing, and applying (including disk partitioning, formatting, and marking active) WIM images. You can find it at the following url.

The following OS are supported (This software requires administrative privileges. If you have UAC enabled, you will need to "Run as Administrator"):
1. Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2
2. Windows Vista/Windows 7
3. Windows PE 1.6 (Server 2003 OPK), Windows PE 2.0, Windows PE 3.0

A copy of wimgapi.dll must be present in the Windows\System32 or the same folder as SWIM.exe. Mounting functionality requires the WIM filter driver to be installed. It does need to be run from a location that is writable. I would recommend running it from its own folder (e.g. SWIM\SWIM.EXE).

1. Capturing Images
Simply select the logical drive you want to capture. Select the destination file and the type of compression to use (it will append existing images).

2. Mounting Images
Browse to the file containing the image you would like to mount. Select the image, read/write option, and the path where the image will be mounted.

3. Restoring Images
Define the desired disk layout. Specify the partitioning desired (if partitioning is required) . Select the file containing the image(s) you would like to apply.
