If you are searching for a way to change your wallpaper easily, STRAYK may be the solution. This freeware software allows you to easily change your desktop wallpaper. It also detects when its past midnight and changes the wallpaper automatically. All you need to do is to select a category from which to download wallpapers.
If you thought that this program is totally free, think again. By default, you only have access to a couple of wallpapers. If you want to have a larger collection of wallpapers to choose from, you need to register for a paid account on the publishers website. The available wallpapers are organized into folders (themes).
Another interesting feature of this program is the fact that you can participate into contests. At the time I visited the publishers website there were no active contests, but they say that these contests are free to join. Each contest is linked to a theme.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: Its not possible to select when you want the software to automatically change your wallpaper. By default, STRAYK changes the wallpaper at midnight. In fact, its also impossible to choose whether you want the wallpaper to be changed at midnight.
In conclusion: I think STRAYK needs a bit more flexibility.

Updating the wallpaper: The wallpaper will update when starting the computer or, if the computer is continuously operative, shortly after midnight.
Sizing of the wallpaper: The images will be delivered according to the screen dimensions. However, images have fixed proportions and may not always fit the screen. Changing the display mode may improve the appearance.
Saving the images: All images can be saved after download in a custom folder, automatically or manually one by one.
Screensaver: Optionally, a screensaver can be activated which shows all the saved images in a slide show.
