Turns your old recipes into new ones. SRS Recipe Organizer is a handy utility designed to turn your recipes from old books into new ones without retyping. To use SRS Recipe Organizer you take a good digital picture of your old recipe (or scan it if you have a scanner) and you transfer the file to your computer. Then you open the picture with SRS Recipe Organizer and use your mouse to draw boxes around the name, list of ingredients and instructions. Next you copy the selected part of the image and the software will use OCR to turn the image into text. When your done you can save the new recipe and print it to a nice easily readable format.

Keep in mind that this uses optical character recognition (OCR) to turn your pictures into text. That means the clearer the text in your picture the better it will work. You can also greatly improve the OCR by using the image controls to make your picture clearer. If the original picture is not clear at all you may need to do quite a bit of text correction but other recipes may work great. After you install SRS Recipe Organizer check in the help file for tips on how to take pictures that will work well and how to enhance the picture with the image controls.
