The Disk encryption Wizard page helps you to establish an on-the-fly-encrypted volume (Rohos disk). On-the-fly encryption means that data are automatically encrypted or decrypted right before they are loaded or saved, without any user intervention. No data stored on an encrypted volume can be read without using the correct password (or USB flash drive). Until decrypted, a Rohos volume appears to be nothing more than a series of random numbers. Entire file system is encrypted (i.e., file names, folder names, contents of every file, and free space). Rohos never writes decrypted data to any storage device.

Configuring USB flash drive
This Wizard page helps you to configure your USB flash drive as a hardware key to access your system and Rohos disk. Insert your USB flash drive and select options.
Note: Rohos will configure your USB flash drive only for your computer. Already configured USB drive contains a specific non-readable data about password, but not password in plain form. There is no chance to get your password from your USB flash drive if you lose it or it is stolen.

Authentication integrated within the Windows Logon
Rohos integrates into any Windows logon model: Local PC logon or AD network joined workstation, Windows XP/Vista home computer, Novell Client login, Remote desktop login. Thus, no compatibility problems will be encountered after installing Rohos.

USB Key security:
1. USB Key cannot be duplicated. Logon profile is bound up with a USB flash drive serial number.
2. USB Key originality. By default USB Key is bound up with a computer where it was created for login. Another USB Key will be ignored by the software (even with a valid logon profile).
3. Computer owner can forbid to use any other USB Key except that one for login.
4. Protected password. By default USB Key does not contain your Windows password in plain form, but only Encryption Key pair that is used to reconstruct password for login operation.
5. Two-factor authentication by PIN code for USB Key. This is a small password with only 3 attempts to enter, that is required when you login using USB Key.
