RedCap Sorter can sort Jpegs, AVI, MOV MTS that were lazily copied from digital cameras into a nice date format.
1. Sorts images and videos into a nice directory structure.
2. Prepends date time to every file to ensure uniqueness.
3. Prunes images and videos that are identical.

For JPEG format the "date taken" or "original creation date" is extracted from the JPEG metadata so that the file is renamed and moved to the time the photo was taken.
For AVI noticed that old camera places the video and images into the same folder and increments the DSCF value. So by sorting the file by name and searching within that directory for an appropriate image with date taken metadata i am able to give a rough approximation of the datetime the video was taken. ( this is done because for some reason the file system date modified no longer represents the time the videos were taken).
For MTS/MOV it simply uses the date created from the file system at this time.
