QwikChange performs extremely fast file conversions when you don't have time to waste. The time required for conversions depends upon the size and complexity of the files to be converted. QwikChange will load and convert the following files: Richtext (*.rtf), Text files (*.txt), HTML files (*.html), WordPerfect files (*.wpd), Word 2007 Docx and Dotx files (*.docx, *.dotx), OpenOffice fiiles (*.odt, * sxw), MS Works (*.wps) and DocBook eBook documents (*.pdb, *.prc).
QwikChange may very well be the only program beside Microsoft products that can open and convert MS Works (*.wps) documents! In fact, QwikChange was able to load more MS Works files that MS Word 2007!
Batch Convert - Convert one file or multiple files at once. In our tests, QwikChange converted 591 rtf files into pdf format in just 15 seconds. When converting to rtf or text files, the time required is about half of what is required when converting to pdf. QwikChange originally converted some html files (simple forms - no images) into rtf files. Converting all 591 html files (average size of 4 kb) into rtf format only took 5 seconds! Yes, you read that right - just 5 seconds. QwikChange had finished its task while other conversion programs we tried were still working on their first file.
After you have selected a folder that contains the files you want to convert, you can view the contents of individual files by double clicking on the file name in the listview (list of files on the left side of the software window). After a file is loaded into the display window, you can see exactly what it will look like when converted. The display is automatically updated when you select a different page size (Letter, A4 or Legal).
Why did we create our own file converter? We were looking for a fast file converter to use for a new software we were developing at the time. We needed to convert 1000 html forms into rtf format so we could then store them in a database of templates. We checked over 15 different products that were available on the web.
