Power Plan Assistant for Windows 7
|
Power Plan Assistant for Windows 7 is a smart power management tool designed specifically for Microsoft's latest OS. Power Plan Assistant can be used with any 32-bit or 64-bit edition of Windows 7. It allows a user to switch between the built-in and custom power plans (all the plans, not just 2 of them, as it is when operating via system Power icon), auto-switch a PC to 'High Performance' on plugging in and much more.
With Power Plan Assistant you can:
1. Easily switch between the Windows built-in/custom power plans (all, not 2 of them, as when operating via system Power icon) and instantly power off a display on user's demand (why wait at least one minute for it to be powered off, wasting energy?). It can be waked up then by pressing any key or moving the cursor;
2. Always observe which power plan is currently active (as shown on the screenshots above, the dynamic application's icon in a taskbar notification area changes in accordance with the active power plan, does not matter where it has been changed - in a Control Panel, system Power icon or in the Power Plan Assistant itself);
3. Switch the power plans automatically: to 'Power Saver' (to preventively save the energy if the battery level goes low), to 'High Performance' (on plugging in) and to 'Balanced' (on plugging out). As shown on a screenshot below, every Power Plan Assistant's setting is user-configurable, i.e. user can enable or disable it, either permanently or for a current session only. Even the balloon messages and the notification icon appearance/behavior can be customized.
