Adobe has released an Adobe AIR based client for Facebook called Adobe Photo Uploader for Facebook. As Digital Inspiration notes, it's better than Facebook's official app.

Adobe Photo Uploader for Facebook is a free Adobe AIR software (support multiple OS) to help you upload photos to Facebook and do more than that.

Photo Uploader for Facebook offers most of Facebook's functionality, with uploading photos being only a small part of it, though it does make uploading photos much better than using Facebook's web interface. The app offers various views including a rich media version and a plain text version, as well as offering a slide show mode.

Don't be fooled by its name, Adobe Photo Uploader does not only "upload photos". It also shows your Facebook News Feed, allows Facebook Chat, notify you of new events, messages, friend request, and pokes. It IS a Facebook software for desktop!

Adobe is really selling this app short by naming it Adobe Photo Uploader for Facebook, given the full functionality of the app. Maybe they don't want to step on any toes, but it seems that with an app this strong, they'd want to pitch it as an AIR version of the Facebook experience.

Upload photos using Adobe Photo Uploader for Facebook
1. Click on "Upload" tab and choose an Facebook Album or create a new album.
2. Drag & Drop the photo folders or photos to the Adobe Photo Uploader.
3. Set the caption for each photo as you wish, as well as crop, tag, rotate the photo.
4. Click on "Upload Images" to start uploading. You are done when the progress is 100%.
