Packager for iPhone is a feature of Adobe Flash Professional CS5 program and the Adobe AIR SDK. It provides Flash developers a fast and efficient method to reuse existing code from ActionScript 3 projects to deliver native applications on iOS devices. It is also available as a standalone technology through this release on Adobe Labs.

Apple's recent announcement that it has lifted restrictions on its third-party developer guidelines has direct implications for the Packager for iPhone. The feature is available for developers to use today and we will now resume development work on this feature for future releases.

Packager for iPhone ships with the Adobe AIR SDK and offers the technical ability to package ActionScript 3.0 applications into iOS applications on Windows and Macintosh (subject to Apples current requirements and approval).
