PRIDE Inspector is a new open source software to visualize and perform a first quality assessment of MS data. With PRIDE Inspector users can now have a close look at their own data before the actual submission, or access data already in PRIDE for data mining purposes.

The PRIDE database provides a publicly accessible, centralized data repository for mass spectrometry (MS) based proteomics data. PRIDE stores protein and peptide identifications, spectra and valuable metadata. PRIDE also allows data to remain private during peer review, while allowing optional access to collaborators, journal editors, and peer reviewers. Several journals3,4 recommend PRIDE as platform for data sharing and dissemination.
