PDF OCR X

PDF OCR X converts PDFs and images to text. A simple drag-and-drop utility for Mac OS X and Windows, that converts your PDFs and images into text documents or searchable PDF files. It uses advanced OCR (optical character recognition) technology to extract the text of the PDF even if that text is contained in an image. This is particularly useful for dealing with PDFs that were created via a Scan-to-PDF function in a scanner or photo copier.

The Community Edition is limited to single page PDFs. Please upgrade to PDF OCR X Enterprise Edition in order to convert multi-page PDF's. You can purchase an upgrade at solutions.weblite.ca/pdfocrx .
There are 4 ways to use PDF OCR X:
1. Open PDF OCR X, then drag your images or PDF files into the PDF OCR X window.
2. Open PDF OCR X, then select use the "Select files..." option in the "File" menu to select the image or PDF files you wish to convert.
3. Copy an image to the clipboard (e.g. a screenshot). Then open PDF OCR X, and paste the image into the PDF OCR X window.
4. Copy a file to the clipboard (e.g. right click on the file icon and select "copy"), then open PDF OCR X and select "Past" from the edit menu (or use the Ctrl+V key shortcut).
When the settings dialog appears, please select the language of your source document, whether or not it has a multi-column layout, and how whether you would like the text to be hard wrapped or soft wrapped.
