The Overtone Analyzer is a software that helps you you to understand the phenomenon of harmonic overtones of sounds intuitively and in a musical context. Overtone Analyzer has two main components: The Overtone Slider and the Spectrum Analyzer.
1. The Overtone Slider is a graphical representation of overtones in a musical context following a concept of Wolfang Saus.
2. The Spectrum Analyzer visualizes sound by breaking it down into its frequencies and by representing their intensities with colors or as a curve. The Spectrum Analyzer is very useful to understand sound and timbre. It makes overtones visible.
