Open Metronome is a free, open source metronome for Windows and Windows Mobile. A metronome designed with user-definable multi-voice WAV or MIDI sounds for the beats and that has a blinker, allowing user defined bpm & fine measure control.

Open Metronome Features:
1. User definable beats per minute;
2. Measure can be set to any length, with emphasis on any beat(s);
3. Each beat can be one or more of over forty MIDI voices or custom WAV samples;
4. Each beat has a visual indication as well as audible output;
5. Windows Mobile metronome will keep itself alive during suspend-states (but will allow the screen to be turned off to conserve power).
(Pocket PC 2002 metronome simply inhibits suspend completely).

Installation
Windows (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, 7) (desktop & laptop users)
Decide whether you want the WAV-based metronome or the MIDI; if unsure, go for MIDI, or just go for the original Weird Metronome! The WAV-based version should theoretically have better beat-timing, and also allows the user to customise the beat-sounds. Both versions should work on any Windows (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, hopefully Vista and Windows 7.

USAGE
The basic features of the program should be self-explanatory. If you hold the mouse cursor over most buttons or other controls then a little message will pop up to give a hint of what that control's for.

The "custom measure" feature is where Weird Metronome really shines. To define a custom measure, enter a numeral from 0 to 9 for every beat in your measure into the custom measure edit box. A zero (0)
represents a silent beat (i.e. no sound will be played on that beat). Any other number indicates that the corresponding voice from the list of voices in the middle part of the window should be played on that beat.
