Muvizu is a free 3D animation application, integrated with an online collaborative community, that gives individuals or groups the power of the Unreal Engine 3 to create compelling videos in minutes, not months. You don't need specialist kit or training, just a good idea.

Muvizu 3D allows you to make animated videos without fancy equipment and years of training. Brainstorm in the community areas. Use our script editing tool to write your screenplay or drama. Muvizu 3D is built around the Unreal Engine 3 and, as such, runs natively on only Windows operating systems - XP and later.

Upload images or storyboards. Store all your work - whether video, audio, written or artwork - in your portfolio. Collaborate: Find the people you need for your movie, from film editors to location scouts. Build up your crew and co-ordinate tasks in your the community sections. Communicate with your team by private message or forum notifications. Exhibit: If youve got it, flaunt it. Use our platform to give your creative work a wider audience.

Your operating system also needs the version of DirectX 9 that was released in August 2008 (it really doesn't matter if you have DirectX 10 or 11 installed - you still need DX 9) or later and Microsoft's .NET Framework version 2 or higher. Both of these components are included in the installer, but if you already have either or both, the individual component installers will either tell you or just skip any unnecessary process. You may then continue to the next step in the installation.

What file types can be used in the Muvizu 3D app? Are there any size limits?
Audio files: .MP3, .WAV
Video files: .AVI
Images: .JPG, .JPEG, .BMP, .PNG, .GIF
3D models (static meshes): .ASE
Output format: .set -> Muvizu Set files (your saved scenes), .avi (movie output).
There are no size limits, other than that of the computer's memory. When you use video files for audio, the Muvizu software abandons the video portion of the file and uses only the audio.

To use video files as images, your machine must have the right codec to process them. Muvizu 3D will check which codecs are on your machine and present those as options when saving.
