ModemWatcher Download
Free Download ModemWatcher 1.1.24.0

ModemWatcher provides a front-end for ADSL Modems/Routers showing statistics like "Sync Speed" and "Downstream Noise" - the two key indicators for a good ADSL download experience.

Because the data interface varies across models, only those shown are currently supported. To see if your modem is supported, check if a Telnet Interface has been provided by the manufacturer and use the "Diagnostics" section of ModemWatcher.

ModemWatcher centres around the Home screen which presents two views on the data returned from the modem - Chart View and Data View.

ModemWatcher's "Diagnostics" screen allows detailed technical analyis of the data being returned. This screen also provides a means of checking the compatability of the modem against the expected data interface.

Settings:
1. Modem Model
Selecting the correct Modem Model will ensure that the data can be read correctly.

2. Login Details
These details will be needed for ModemWatcher to take readings of the line data.

3. ADSL Auto Start
Some modems are slow to reset the ADSL line after disconnection or, in some cases, the internet is offline but the ADSL line appears to be up so no reset occurs. This is where ModemWatcher will assist with an automated modem reset of the ADSL line (when supported) to try and bring the connection online as quickly as possible.

4. Application Settings
System Tray
* Minimise to Tray - Minimising will send the application to the System Tray, rather than the TaskBar, if enabled.
* Minimise on Close - Closing/Exiting will send the application to the System Tray, rather than closing it, if enabled.
* Minimise on Run - On running the application it will start and immediately register in the System Tray, rather than be visible, if enabled.

5. System Startup
Run at Startup - On starting the Operating System, the application will also startup, if enabled.

6. Software Auto-Updates
Check for Updates. If enabled, the application will check at application startup for updates on the CodeLine website.

7. Proxy
To access the Internet (to Check for Updates, for example), it may be necessary to provide the Proxy settings the PC is using. You can enter these manually or use the "Try to Find Default Settings" button to read these values from the Operating System.
