Memory Monitor can monitor memory usage on your computer. It is particularly useful for troubleshooting memory problems by allowing you to determine which software do not free up memory when they are done using it. This software requires no DLLs or other support files, just copy the software to your hard drive and run it.
When you run Memory Monitor, it places a little meter in the icon notification area (system tray) on the task bar. As the memory load increases, additional indicators "light up". Yellow and red indicators light up when a high percent of memory is in use. If you hold the mouse over the icon, a software tip shows the current memory load.
This is a number between 0 and 100 that is an indicator of the amount of memory currently in use where 0 is no memory and 100 is high memory usage. Note that 100% does not necessarily mean you are out of memory. Virtual memory must also be taken into account. For more detailed information on memory usage, left double-click on the icon.
Memory Monitor displays additional information about total and available memory. You can close the window and Memory Monitor will remain active, or select Exit Memory Monitor from the menu to terminate the software and remove the icon from the task bar.
