Movie Edit Pro pays special attention to special effects, and they are probably the most extensive part of this software. Not only are there seemingly hundreds of transitions to get you from one shot to another, there has a new feature called Story Maker that makes it especially handy to adjust a number of parameters with each clip. Double-click on a clip, and Story Maker (see graphic below) gives you the capability to adjust color, contrast and sharpness. In the same dialog box you can also choose transitions, create camera moves on video or still shots, and even rotate your clips. There has also an outstanding one-click video optimization feature that I found to be quite useful. Perhaps the most handy feature of this little dialog box is the arrow that lets you go to the next clip or transition and perform your ministrations on that one, too. Overall, Story Maker is a huge success for this software, and makes it a lot easier to use.
