Free Download Layer Splitter 2.11

Takes a multi-layered Photoshop or Illustrator file and separates each layer to its own file. Layer Splitter is a drag-and-drop application for Macintosh and Windows that takes a multi-layered Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator file and separates each layer
into its own file. This can be very useful for animators, especially those using Adobe After Effects , for the following reason: in After Effects, an imported Photoshop layer is sized to the dimensions of the individual layer, not the overall document, so each
layer's size is potentially different. This makes alignment of layers quite cumbersome.

In Layer Splitter, each layer is cropped to the main document's size, so all split layers are sized identically. Additionally, many programs, including older versions of After Effects, don't recognize Illustrator layers at all, so Layer Splitter makes it possible to
manipulate individual Illustrator layers. Layer Splitter can also be an incredibly useful tool for importing files into video editing and compositing systems such as the Avid Media Composer and Discreet Logic Flame.

If you have ever tried to import a Photoshop file into a program with limited Photoshop support, you know what a pain it can be to separate and align layers. Some programs import each layer at its own size, rather than the size of the original document. Some programs cant properly import layer transparency, while other programs cant import Photoshop layers at all.

Layer Splitter takes the transparency information from each layer and moves it to an alpha channel, while maintaining the original size of the source document, creating files that almost any graphics program can read. Layer Splitter also makes it possible to work with Illustrator layers in programs which otherwise wouldnt recognize them.

Layer Splitter Features:
Output Options: For Photoshop files, you can select either straight (unmatted) files or premultiplied files on either white or black. Straight files retain the slop around the edges of an image and always contain an alpha (mask) channel. They usually provide the cleanest key when compositing images. Premultiplied files are useful if you re not compositing images, and the alpha (mask) channel is optional. The Output Options have no effect on Illustrator files.

Output Format: You can output Photoshop files in Photoshop, PICT, TIFF, Targa, or Electric Image formats. TIFF files can be output in either Macintosh or IBM byte order, either compressed or uncompressed. Targa files can be output with optional RLE compression. Output files always retain the color space (RGB, Grayscale, CMYK or Lab) of the source file. The Output Format controls have no effect on Illustrator files.

Naming Conventions: You can name output files in a number of ways. Let s say that you have a source file named MegaFile with a layer named Binky . You can output a file with both the document and layer name ( MegaFile_Binky ), layer name only ( Binky ), document name and sequential number ( MegaFile_001 ), or sequential number only ( 001 ). You can choose to number frames in either ascending or descending order. In the Macintosh version, you can add an optional file extension ( MegaFile_Binky.psd ).

Limitations:
* The demo version of Layer Splitter is fully functional, with the exception that it overlays a series of dotted horizontal lines on the output of Photoshop files, and a big red X on the output of Illustrator files.
