Jinx
|
Jinx can help you to analyze 3D data sets, is for 3D electron microscopic data sets produced using electron tomography, but may be used for any aligned 3d data set.
Jinx contains the facility for annotating 3D microscopic data using formal ontologies.
The current version of Jinx allows the choice of ontologies, including the Neuroscience Information Framework (NIF) ontologies, which includes an extensive ontology for subcellular anatomy of the nervous system based on our Subcellular Anatomy Ontology (SAO).
When you click on the link to run Jinx, you download a small file which your web browser should automatically recognize and cause the appropriate Java "jar" files to be downloaded through Java Web Start. Using this mechanism ensures that you will always be using the most current and up to date version of Jinx without having to keep up with patches, versions, or complicated downloads.
Please Note: this software is a Java Web Start Application, you need to right-click on the download file and choose "Launch".
