Jafe is a strongbox for your sensible data. Jafe allows you to manage your sensible data (passwords, PINs, IDs, small files) in a intuitive and well-organized way.

The data are saved using compression and strong encryption, to ensure that, once saved, it will be impossible for a malicious user to access to them without a passkey, or even to know that they are meaningful data at all - they'll look just random rubbish to everyone but you ("plausible deniability").

For the same reason, a later goal of the application is to be able to embed the data into images, or emails, with just a little touch of steganography.

The program aims to be intuitive, small, fast and most of all portable among different operating systems (that support Java, of course): your sensible data will be always with you, on an USB key, the internet or whatever you want.

A strong stress is posed on the security: there will be different types of passwords available, and everything is free software and open source, so open to public scrutiny.
