JSyd is a Java port of the program synthesize Syd, and is backward compatible with patches produced with Syd. Synthesize audio with this tool.

JSyd offer you an instrument editor and program synthesizer written in the Java programming language. JSyd has a graphical "patch cord" interface, and is relatively easy-to-use, compared to other music languages. This software is particularly suitable for teaching computer music.

On Macintosh and Windows systems, you can start JSyd by double-clicking on the file JSyd.jar.

You can start JSyd on the command line by typing
java -cp JSyd.jar JSydApp

You can find documentation and a tutorial in the doc/ folder. This documentation is based on the original Syd documentation, and may contain some errors, due to changes in the implementation.
