JEP(S) brings the control over your mail system back to you with a combination of proven technologies and new thinking. Its very impactful greylisting implementation alone can block up to 98% of all spam before it even gets inside your mail system and with this reduce the overall system load.

JEP(S) is suitable for any internet facing Exchange 2000/2003/2007/2010 and IIS SMTP servers. Offers session based spam filtering for Exchange 2000/2003 servers. JEP(S) packange was designed to offer session based spam filtering for Exchange 2000/2003 servers as well as for IIS SMTP servers.
A combination of Greylisting, Realtime Black Lists and Realtime White Lists provide a up to 98% impactful block rate with an incredibly low falso positive rate.

In total JEP(S) contains four components which are all installed by default:

1. JEP(S) Sink Integrates into your existing SMTP service in Exchange 2000/2003/IIS to retrieve the session data and sends this to the JEP(S) Server. We've managed to make the sink highly efficient by optimizing the code and limiting its functionality to communication only. The effect of this is that potential problems elsewhere in your infrastructure won't affect the stability of the SMTP service and the solution is better scalable.

2. JEP(S) Agent Connects to your Exchange 2007 transport service to retrieve the session data and sends this to the JEP(S) Server. The same proven technology has been used for the agent as with the sink.

3. JEP(S) Server Runs as a service and answers queries from the sink as well as sending statistical data to the listener and generating graphical representations of the traffic. It handles all the database connectivity to either a local.mdb or a local / remote MS SQL server and makes use of the logging algorithms to determine the status of the incoming mail session.

4. JEP(S) Admin Is the administration utility that manages the sink and the server service. You can install and uninstall both the sinks and the service from here as well as controlling all parameters of the sink and service.

5. JEP(S) Listener Retrieves live data from the server and displays this in real time. The listener communicates over TCP/IP which means that this can be run from the comfort of your workstation.
