Protein alignment made easy. JDet is a Java bioinformatics protein alignment software. It covers the visualization of functional important residues and specifity determining positions (SDPs) in proteins. These positions characterize functional specifity in protein subfamilies. JDet provides an 3D cluster visualization tool for the S3Det method and a protein structure viewer which interacts with the alignment panel. Additionally it's possible for the user to add any predefined method to program process.
