IBM - Hitachi Drive Fitness Test will create a self-booting DOS diskette to run the DFT utility. The Drive Fitness Test (DFT) provides a quick, reliable method to test SCSI and IDE hard disk drives. The Drive Fitness Test analyze function performs read tests without overwriting customer data. (However, Drive Fitness Test is bundled with some restoration utilities that will overwrite data).

This download is in ISO format and will will create a bootable CD. A floppy version is also available for download.

Notes:
1. Does not support Microdrive Digital Media products.
2. Supports all Travelstar HDDs, except 8E, 10E and C4K series.
3. Does not support Endurastar products.
4. Does not support external USB or Firewire attached drives.
5. Compatible only with x86-based processors.
6. Does not support the PC which loads Intel ICH9M chipset.
