Search box
Search with suggestions
Toolbar automagically guesses what you're searching for as you type into the search box. Depending on your search query, you may see suggestions from your Google bookmarks, Toolbar search history, spelling corrections, or sponsored links.
Change language settings
Search in another language
If search results appear in an unfamiliar language, update your Search settings in the Toolbar Options window. Google sites exist for many countries and may produce different results in different languages.
History
Save your Google Web History in your Google Account
Remember that outstanding website you visited last week and now can't find? With Web History, you can view the webpages you've visited and search their full text, including images, videos, and news stories. You can also delete items from your Web History and pause collection of Web History when you want to.
Shared Dictionary Compression over HTTP
Toolbar uses Shared Dictionary Compression over HTTP (SDCH) to speed up Google search results. To learn more about SDCH, visit the SDCH Google Group or download the white paper. Both resources are currently only available in English.
Toolbar Notifier alerts
The Toolbar Notifier alerts you when websites or programs attempt to change your default search settings.
Web-browsing tools:
Browse by Name (IE only) Navigate to websites without URLs
If you don't know the address or URL of a website you want to visit, enter the website's name into Internet Explorer's address bar and Toolbar's Browse by Name feature will help you find it. For example, type oxford university into the address bar to go directly to the University of Oxford homepage. If Toolbar can't determine what website you want to visit, Toolbar displays Google search results for the closest matches instead.
Oops! - Suggestions for navigation errors
Toolbar shows suggestions when the webpage you're trying to open can't be found. If you find a broken link, instead of a blank 404 page, you should see suggestions to navigate to other parts of the website or search for the page with Google.
Use Gmail as your default email handler
Instead of opening email clients like Outlook or Thunderbird to send mail, use Toolbar's Send with Gmail feature to automatically open Gmail's Compose Mail page when you click email links or mailto: in your browser.
Google new tab page and most visited websites
When you open a new tab, Google new tab page displays links to up to nine websites you visit most, nine recent browser or Google bookmarks, and three recently closed tabs closed within the past five minutes.
