1. Flexibility combined with automation
More powerful than your browser's bookmark manager, or the Windows Explorer file manager, Gamut lets you file a single note or bookmark (an item) into multiple categories (called topics). Dragging and dropping an item to another topic will associate it with the new topic without severing its link to the present one. Other owners of the items contained by a topic are its filter topics and appear in italics as sub-topics. Clicking on a filter topic will display the intersection of items belonging to both its parent and its underlying topic.

2. Leverage your existing data
Gamut includes an import function so that, with the click of a button, you can bring in all of your existing Favorites from your browser. This function will automatically combine bookmarks that point to the same webpage, and file the single resulting item under multiple topics.
