ExisPto is an outlook plugin that directly connects to your Peoplesoft database using a generic ODBC connection that synchronizes Customer and Vendor contacts including conversations.
ExisPto is a Read ONLY application, it will not update, delete or in any way modify your Peoplesoft database.

Installation:
1. ExisPto uses an ODBC connection to connect to the Peoplesoft database directly. To set it up on a client machine please do the following:
a. Read the DBA guide and set up the user id with the necessary priviledges. There is a DBA guide provided in the download.
b. Create a DSN on your client machine. Read the DSN guide for a detailed step by step instructions.
2. Before installing the PTO plug in, close down any outlook sessions that may be running on your computer.
3. To install PTO simply run the setup software located in the folder where you downloaded PTO or the media you received. Answer all all questions in the affirmative.
4. XTO uses Microsoft Framework
5. After the installation is complete, simply launch outlook. In Outlook 2010 go to the Add-ins tab. There will be a new menu visible called "Peoplesoft Menu" in the tool bar strip.
6. Launch the settings dialog box. Follow the instructions in the Guide contained in the download to set up connection and settings.
7. To activate the product you must have a valid internet connection and a key obtained from Exis.

For The DBAs:
ExisPto is a read-only application. No updates will be issues against your Peoplesoft Installation. What is needed for the ExisPto to function is a user id set up to read a few tables.
Please note that you do not need to give read access to the conversation tables IF your installation does not require them. Conversation table access is purely optional.
Likewise, if only customer contacts are going to be synchronized, you do no need to provide access to the vendor tables.
