Are you still using Internet Explorer, the standard webpage browser that comes alone with your Windows operating system? Do you want to attempt some new webpage browsers which have novel interface and more powerful and handy functions? Of course Internet Explorer is a classical webpage browser that was used widely all over the world; however there are some excellent webpage browsers that have more functions and features for us. Here I will commend you a widely used webpage browser. That is Deepnet Explorer which was published by Deepnet Technologies Ltd. Following is the detailed introduction of this web browser.

Deepnet Explorer is a web browser that combines IE based browsing with integrated P2P file sharing capabilities and a built-in RSS/ATOM news feed reader. Deepnet Explorer is free for us and it does not contain any adware or spyware, so we can use it safely and undisturbed. It is standalone software and does not need any extra software and hardware requirement. It works with most recent variants of Windows and its current version is 1.5.2 beta.

Following are some key features and advantages of this Web browser, including:

1. Easy to use - To launch Deepnet Explorer (DE) click on the DE icon on our desktop. If this is the first time we have launched DE we will be asked if we want to make DE our default browser. The layout of DE maybe similar to browsers we have used before but there are a few extra features as well. On the left there is a control panel that lets us choose between Web, News and P2P.

2. Tabbed browsing - DE uses tabbed browsing so we can have multiple pages open at once. Tabs can be put into Groups and whenever we open a new page we can right click on it is tab to create a new group or to add it to an existing group.

3. Startup pages - We can get DE to open multiple pages whenever we start-up. Go to Tools - Web Browser Options, select Startup and choose whether we want DE to open the last active pages or all the pages that have been moved into the Start Pages folder.

4. Anti-phishing alarm - Deepnet Explorers integrated phishing alarm warns us when we visit potentially fraudulent websites. We can customize the level of protection under Tools - Web Browser options and edit the white and black lists of approved and banned sites. The black list of dangerous sites is updated every time we launch DE and we can manually update it and report any new phishing sites by clicking on Tools - Phishing Alarm.

5. Popup killer - To activate or deactivate the pop-up killer click the pop icon on the status bar, the number next to it shows us how many pop-ups have been blocked. Right click this button to customize the Popup Killer and to view blocked URLs.

6. Content filter - There is an option to enable a white list and to ban ads that float around the screen. If we want to display a pop-up when the Popup Killer is activated, simply press Shift and click. The content filter can also block different file types (sound, video, scripts etc) that we do not wish to receive.

7. Auto login - Deepnet Explorer comes complete with a Login Manager that can remember our login details for us. When we visit a site that asks for login information DE will ask if we want it to remember the details for us.

8. Form filler - We can do the same with forms. Select Tools - Form Filler - Form Manager and fill in our contact details. Whenever we visit a site, which requires our contact details we just need to click Tools - Form Filler - Fill in Home/Work details.

9. Cookie manager - Deepnet Explorer gives us complete control over which cookies we allow and which ones we block. Tools - Web Browser Options - Cookie Filter gives us control over the black and white list and the Cookie Manager gives us information about all the cookies on our PC.

10. Direct search - Deepnet Explorers browser address bar comes with built in search functionality. Simply enter a keyword and click Search and DE will search our chosen search engine. Also there is no need to type http://, www, or .com as DE has enabled direct navigation for many brands and companies.

11. Keyword navigation - Navigate to websites using everyday brand names or search terms instead of confusing web addresses. No more http:// www. or .com necessary. It is a simple alternative to reaching a website if we can not remember a website address. Just type a brand name into our address bar and hit ENTER. Check out the latest Top 100 keywords typed by other Deepnet Explorer users.

12. Mouse gestures ĘC We can use our mouse to control our browser! Just hold our right mouse button down, move our mouse cursor in a specific direction, and release the button. Try the simple movements above remembering to press our right mouse button.

13. Super drag and drop - Super Drag and Drop enables us to open links in a new window just by clicking on a link and dragging and dropping it on the current page. We can also search by highlighting words on a page and dragging and dropping them onto the current page.

14. P2P filing sharing - The Advanced Edition of DE (Previously the "Personal Edition") enables us to share files on the Gnutella network. We can only share and download material if we have permission from the copyright holder to do so. When we want to search for a file click the P2P icon and enter what we are looking for in the search field.

15. RSS news reader - Deepnet RSS News Reader comes with many news feeds preinstalled. To organize our feeds use the tree structure to the left of the screen. To search for articles click the Find button on the toolbar, enter a keyword and define our search.

16. Subscribe to RSS - To subscribe to a news channel drag and drop RSS or XML icons into the News icon on the control panel and a dialogue box will appear. Here we can edit the subscription details, set a username and password and select a news group for the new channel to be added to.

17. Full IE compatibility - For ease of use, Deepnet Explorer automatically imports our Internet Explorer favorites and settings. Unlike some other web browsers, Deepnet Explorer Browser is 100% compatible with most web pages.

Overall, Deepnet Explorer is a very nice, easy to use and full-functions Web browser. The developer of this software wanted to ensure ease of use for the average home user with its simple, clean, great looking interface, but included features for even the most demanding, experienced users. It is an ideal solution for surfing fans. With all these features, simple interface, excellent usability and free trial - why are you still reading?
