Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter video game, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X personal computers and the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii video game consoles. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter similar to previous games in the Call of Duty series but set in the present-day instead of World War II.

On top of being an outstanding game all-around, Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare also manages to have one of the most intuitive and richly rewarding achievement systems in a game. It's ingenious in its simplicity: "challenges" confer experience points once completed. As in any good RPG, as you collect experience points, you gain levels, unlocking additional guns, perks, and yes, even more challenges. The formula is incredibly addictive, as you pour hours and hours into the game trying to reach the highest level and unlocking everything.

The graphics looks far outstandinger than anything before, game play looks very interesting from what we can see, and the experience upgrades and performance rewards are a step in the right direction for this new game.

There have been many highly anticipated games this year, but none more so than Call of Duty 4, as anyone who has played the multiplayer beta will tell you. The Call of Duty series has always been reasonably popular but with the history of war market flooded as it is with games, Infinity Ward have decided to take a new direction and set this latest game in the series in modern times, so Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was born.

The game starts off with you doing some mock training, first off you shoot at some targets and then run through a training course which teaches you how to aim quickly and throw flash grenades, the game then recommends which difficulty setting you should use based on how efficiently you get through the training. One of the outstanding things about this is part of the game is that you can go through the training as often as you like before moving on to the main missions.
