BabelPix enables photographers to translate keyword that are contained in the IPTC data in to English or Spanish. The software does not modify the original files, but creates translated copies in a folder of your choice. The functionality is very basic, file selection cumbersome due to a open dialog that lacks sorting or thumbnail support and the translations appear to be less reliable than other sources (3 out of 10 common words could not be translated). BabelPix is built on a good idea, but needs a lot of work to improve workflow and accuracy. The current version is limited to English/Spanish and Spanish/English translation, however the company plans to make additional translation packages available in the future.
