Auto Bitly is a chrome extension For bit.ly And bitly.Pro. It is the fastest way to create short URLs using bit.ly and bitly.Pro. You can even use your own user name and API key to track clicks. Currently, it does not support stable build of Chrome and you need Beta / Dev / Canary channel. Moreover, it automatically copies the created short url to the clipboard.

Follow these steps:
1. Install the Auto Bitly extension from here. (It does not support Chrome stable channel, as of now)
2. It will automatically load the Option page. Enter your bit.ly / bitly.Pro user name and API key here, and save the settings.
3. You don't need to provide your account password. Moreover, this extension saves all data locally on your computer.
4. Restart the Chrome.
5. Now, you can create short URLs for links and pages. To create short url for a link: Right click on it and select the option "Copy Short URL For This Link". The short url will be created and automatically get copied to the clipboard. Use Ctrl + V or Paste option of context menu to paste created short url anywhere.
