AssFxMaker (a part of Funsub project) is a software allowing the creation of effects for ASS scripts (Advanced Sub Station). It is able to use filters and scripts (even though it's created to use filters). Filters are called XFX effects and allow the creation of beautiful karaokes without effort. Scripts are written in JRuby, a type of Ruby file that permits the use of Ruby content and the use of Java content. You could give it back interactive. Karaoke effects on ASS subtitles.

AssFxMaker has been tested under Windows (XP and 7), Linux (Fedora and Ubuntu) and Mac OS X (Snow Leopard). This guide will concern only these plateformes. Under Windows, you must have Java to run the program. For Linux, you have to install OpenJDK Runtime Environment from packets. On Mac OS X, Java is already installed.
