Alternate Text Browser is a syntax highlighting text editor, help you to browse through text and HTML files (also XML), syntax highlighting for serveral programming languages available (C++, Pascal, PHP, Perl etc.).
Alternate Text Browser offers the possibility to open multiple text-files and to reload already opened ones. In addition it is possible, to audit text-files in time and to reload them, if changes are detected. This software includes also a Hex-Editor with multiple methods to display files as bytes.
Syntax highlighting inside the editor is available for several programming languages (C++, Pascal, Visual Basic, PHP, etc.). You can extend the list of filetypes for each language till it fits your needs. If you dont need any highlighting you may easily turn it off.
