Conversion
If the videos in your collection are not in format supported by iPhone, Air Video can convert them on fly (live conversion) or offline (entire file).
1. Videos that can not by directly played by iPhone can be easily converted.
2. All major containers and codecs supported (mp4, m4v, mov, avi, wmv, asf, mpg, mpeg, mkv, 3gp, dmf, divx, flv). DRM protected videos as well as proprietary codecs are NOT supported.
3. Live conversion allows you to play videos without having to convert them upfront.
4. Requires iPhone or iPod touch with firmware 3.0 or newer and sufficiently strong computer.

Can Air Video be used to stream videos outside local network (over internet)? Yes, Note that remote access needs an UPnP or NAT-PMP compliant router. If your router does not support these protocol you will have to configure the port forwarding yourself - forward the port 45631 from your router to the computer running Air Video server. If you want to watch your videos on 3G it is also necessary to turn off Air Video WiFi Check in Air Video Settings.

Requirements:
* Air Video Server also requires Bonjour to be installed.
* If you have iTunes installed, you already have Bonjour so you do not need to download it.
