The APT Sports Scheduler software allows you to manage reservations for ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, recreation rooms, etc. that are often controlled by a parks and recreation department.

The software manages these facilities by organizing them into groups, with up to 15 facilities in a group. That is, all softball fields may be in one group, all tennis courts in another, and so on. You can have as many groups as you want and can have more than one group open at a time. You can also have multiple groups of the same type of facility. For example, if you had 20 softball fields to manage, you could have several softball groups organized by some common characteristic (i.e. location for example.). There are several predefined types of groups in APT Sports Scheduler, or you can define your own.

You make reservations by selecting a facility, the customer reserving the facility, and the block of time being reserved. You can make a single reservation for a facility, or multiple reservations for the same time period over several days or weeks (i.e. a recurring reservation). Recurring reservations are very convenient to reserve facilities for leagues, or for several practices in succession. The only limitation is that each reservation must be contained within a single day. That is, you cannot reserve a facility from 11:00pm until 1:00am the next day. To do this you would have to make two reservations, the first until midnight and the second from midnight until 1:00a.

When the time of a reservation arrives, if the group containing the facility being reserved is visable on the screen, the name and organization of the reserver will appear in the facility icon.
