AP Tuner is a small and easy to use instrument tuner, a highly accurate and responsive instrument tuner developed for use with a computer. Care has been taken to make the software as simple and functional as possible. Even with this goal in mind there are some areas that need extra explanation and detail to use the tuner to its full potential.

Main tuner window
1. Energy Indicator : Energy level of the current sound card input
2. Note detected : Latest note detected displayed as the closest half step
3. Cent offset text : Cents off from closest half step shown in textual form
4. Cent offset needle : Cents off from closest half step shown in graphical form
5. Global Tuning Indicator: Note shown with respect to a set of notes called "Note Presets"

Quick Start Guide
Start tuner application (tuner.exe). Plug the microphone into the microphone input on the sound card. Launch the Recording Control Application (menu: Recording | Windows Recording Control). Select the microphone as the input control and adjust the volume slider for the microphone to maximum volume. Close the Recording Control Application window.

Recording Options
AP Tuner has can be customized for different recording inputs and rates. The application defaults to using the "preferred" recording device at 11.025 kHz. This dialog can be used to change these settings.

Tuning Options
Once a note is detected, the tuner will convert the frequency of the note to the closest half-step and cent deviation. That process can be modified to suit the users tuning requirements.

Note Presets
A note preset is a set of notes displayed together on the global tuning indicator. The "Edit Note Presets" dialog (menu: Note | Edit Note Presets) allows the user to add/delete/modify the presets currently saved on the computer.

Harmonics Graph Window
The Harmonics Graph Window is a specialized graph used to show exact frequency of each harmonic over time for the note currently being played. Time is shown on the x-axis in seconds. The note and cent deviation are shown on the y-axis.
